Hello. We are currently casting and scheduling for a WWII indie docudrama to be filmed this spring/summer in the greater Cleveland area based on the extraordinary experience of an American airman who was shot down in occupied France and hid there for months, narrowly avoiding Nazi exposure and death.

Auditions: currently, online only. We are also doing online test chemistry reads. When the final few candidates are selected, we’ll do a final in-person test read.

Speaking Roles:
A) WW2 US Army pilot: American: Male; 20-32 years old (needs to look early 20's); White / Caucasian or look White / Caucasian;
He is avoiding discovery by Nazis after being shot down. Emotionally hefty role. 
Light Texas/Utah accent.
Costuming would be few sets of poor farmhand clothes from the 1940's.

B) Wife of pilot: American; Female; 18-32 years old (needs to look early 20's); White / Caucasian or look White / Caucasian;
Wife of pilot who doesn't know his fate for months. Continues working throughout this ordeal. Battling supreme grief, worry with the need to go to work and continue living.
Costuming: wedding dress, 2 sets of 1940's everyday outfits

C) Wife of Helper of Pilot and Mother; Female; 35-55 years old; White / Caucasian or look White / Caucasian; 
Strong, caring woman with good humor. Must show dynamic range and authenticity. Will speak in French (will work with native French speaking coach to learn script and for help with pronunciation/accent/feeling comfortable speaking naturally). 
Costuming would be few sets of poor farmhand clothes from the 1940's.

D) Adult Son of parents who help pilot; Male; 20-28 years old (needs to look early 20's); White / Caucasian. Adult son who helps his parents help pilot. Funny and caring. Will speak in French (will work with native French speaking coach to learn script and for help with pronunciation/accent/feeling comfortable speaking naturally).
Costuming would be few sets of poor farmhand clothes from the 1940's.

E) Paper Nazi; Male 20+ years old; White / Caucasian. Requests papers and gradually gets irritated to the point of yelling in German and threatening to shoot someone who refuses to show them.  Will speak in German (will work with native German speaking coach to learn script and for help with pronunciation/accent/feeling comfortable speaking naturally). Costuming would be Nazi uniform with gun.

F) Werner, Nazi; Male 20+ years old; White / Caucasian. Argues back at forth with Horst about killing a "waste" of a man after requesting his papers because of his disability.  Will speak in German (will work with native German speaking coach to learn script and for help with pronunciation/accent/feeling comfortable speaking naturally). Costuming would be Nazi uniform with gun.

G) Horst, Nazi; Male 20+ years old; White / Caucasian. Argues back at forth with Werner about killing a "waste" of a man after requesting his papers because of his disability. Will speak in German (will work with native German speaking coach to learn script and for help with pronunciation/accent/feeling comfortable speaking naturally). Costuming would be Nazi uniform with gun.
