SPOTLIGHTS THEATER AT BROADVIEW HEIGHTS HOME DAYS
The City of Broadview Heights will host its annual “HOME DAYS ON THE
GREEN” Thursday through Sunday, July 6-9, 2017 at the Broadview Center, 9543
Broadview Road. Admission and parking
are free, and there will be fireworks on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 10:00
PM. The Broadview Heights Spotlights Theater will once again be hosting the Beer & Wine Garden as a fundraiser for the theater. It is a pub-like atmosphere next to the main entertainment tent which features live bands all week. Come relax and enjoy the music with family and friends.
ENTERTAINMENT SCHEDULE: Thursday’s carnival guests will enjoy the band “Red Light Roxy” from
7-10PM. The group plays an upbeat mix of jazz standards, jump blues, swing,
boogie-woogie and a dash of old-school R&B. Friday’s entertainment, “The
Smokin’ Ham Band” is coming all the way from southern Ohio. They play “real
country musical and a whole lot more”! During their break at 9PM, the
ever-popular, Rockin’ Robots (high-energy dancing robots) will take the stage.
“Recess” (Pop-Rock/Alternative melting pot) opens the festival on Saturday at
4:30, followed by “Sky’s the Limit” (best of the 60s, 70s, 80s and beyond). The
Rock’n Robots return to the stage during the break at 9PM. Sunday’s band is the
“Polka Pirates” from 4-11PM, with intermittent activities such as Nina &
Lou’s Line-Dancing (during breaks and at 7PM) and the popular Pizza-Eating
contest at 6PM. Of course, the Firefighters’ Firehouse will be there every day
and the popular Police Dog Show will be Saturday at 7PM.
The GAME GARDEN (next to the beer garden) will feature
life-size games including Connect Four, Checkers, Ring Toss, Jenga, Twister,
and Corn Hole. It is a free activity for all ages. Big O Amusements will provide
rides for all ages: Ride-all-Day wrist bands will be available for $20 per
person. Single tickets are $1 each (rides require 4-5 tickets). In a foodcourt-type setting, 19 food vendors will be offering their
specialties.
