The prevailing question of the story is, “Does anything change except the date when it comes to African Americans and police community relations?” Following each performance, will be a post-show/candid conversation dealing with Apathy . . . Anxiety . . . Anticipation . . . DEATH and how this impacts the urban  community’s attitudes & experiences with politics and police relations.

All auditioners are asked to come prepared to cold read from the script. We also ask that you bring a current headshot and resume with you to auditions.

 

All casted actors will receive a stipend for your time.

 

Rehearsals will begin on April 22nd through May 31st, typically 3 days each week.

George Tate – Male, 40’s Black Barbershop owner

 

Ace Johnson – Male, 30’s Black Recently released from 10 years in prison

 

Mary Ellen – Female, 20s, Postal letter carrier

 

Vincent X (Ahmad) – Male, 20s, minister of local mosque

 

Officer Conner O’Neil – White Male 50’s

 

Officer Sean Ryan – White Male 40s e (cousin of Connor O’Neil)

 

Officer Jane Morris – Black female 20s

 

Officer John O’Neil – White Male 30s (Grandson of Connor O’Neil)

 

Officer Kevin Molinaro – White Male late 20s e

 

Boys – 1 teen male. Appears in each scene

 

Officer (no lines) – Connor O’Neil’s partner
