Roles available for the Ohio Premiere of

Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown at Cassidy Theatre! 

Based on the Oscar-nominated film by internationally renowned director Pedro Almodovar (Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down!, All About My Mother, Talk to Her, Volver), Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown is hilarious and touching look at women and the men who pursue them... find them, lose them, need them, and reject them. At the center is Pepa, a not quite over the hill actress whose friends and lovers are blazing a trail through 1987 Madrid, Spain. A combination of sex, fame, mayhem, family, and madness abound in this Tony-nominated musical (Best Original Score – David Yazbeck, Best Performance by a Featured Actress – Laura Benanti, Best Performance by a Featured Actress - Patti LuPone). 

 

Roles Available:

Ivan - Baritone, 30s - 50s, romantic lead. Ladies love him, men love him, he loves himself.  Cannot resist a vulnerable woman and a hot microphone.

Malik - 20s - 40s, handsome, athletic, strong, silent, has plans to blow up a government building or just looks very, very similar to someone who does.  Doubles as 2 other characters. Speaking roles (singing/dancing is musical numbers optional).

Male Ensemble - 3 men, 20s-50s.  All are speaking roles. 1 - 2 speaking/singing/dancing.

Ladies Ensemble - 2 ladies early 20s - 40s. Roles are speaking/singing/dancing.

Rehearsal Information:

Rehearsals will begin February 22nd and are generally Monday - Thursday evening and Sunday afternoon (3 - 4 per week).
