The 25^th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

 

 

Tuesday, February 14^th- 6pm    Wednesday, February 15^th- 6pm

 

Callbacks: February 18^th – 1pm

 

Rehearsals: Begin March 6th          Performances: April 21st – 29th

 

Audition requirements: Please bring headshot and resume (if available), be prepared to read from the script, and be dressed to move.  Have a 16 - 32 bar song in any style prepared. Bring a copy of your music for the accompanist.  No appointment is necessary.

 

Direction and Musical Direction by Jordan Cooper, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a wacky, energetic, hysterical musical comedy conceived by Rebecca Feldman with music and lyrics by William Finn, a book by Rachel Sheinkin and additional material by Jay Reiss. The show centers on a fictional spelling bee set in a geographically ambiguous Putnam Valley Middle School. Six quirky adolescents compete in the spelling bee, run by three equally quirky grown-ups.
