CASTING CALL! For UNLOCKED! Seeking actors for PAID speaking roles for this 3 part feel good drama episodic show produced by ART OF ME.
UNLOCKED: A 3-EPISODE LIMITED SERIES
Produced by: Art of Me Productions
Logline: A group of unlikely teens, each battling their own struggles, must come together to save a place that gave
them hope—while discovering how to save themselves along the way. At the heart of this series is Angie, a lively, wise-cracking librarian who channels her love of books and her own life lessons into empowering the next generation. Once a dreamer who found strength in stories, Angie now mentors teens like Kai and Chris, helping them turn bold visions into transformative action with humor, encouragement, and unflinching honesty.
EPISODE 1: KAI’S STORY
“Building the Dream”
Synopsis: Kai Thompson, a determined teen with big dreams and limited resources, leads a group of
friends in creating a teen-run marketplace to lift themselves out of their struggles. Battling financial hardship at home and the controlling presence of a powerful city councilman, Kai sees the marketplace as a way to save his family and their future. As he rallies his friends Malik, Jayde, and Chris, Kai’s resilience is tested when personal stakes rise: eviction notices pile up, and the community questions their plan. But in building the marketplace, Kai begins to see that his idea isn’t just about making money—it’s about creating a space where everyone has a chance to thrive.
EPISODE 2: CHRIS’S STORY
“Finding the Courage”
Synopsis: Quiet, talented artist Chris Rodriguez struggles to step out of the shadows of his epilepsy and years of self-doubt. As whispers about his condition spread among classmates, Chris hesitates to join Kai’s marketplace project, fearing judgment. When he finally takes a leap of faith to set up an art booth, Chris is forced to confront his fears and rediscover the joy of sharing his creativity. Along the way, he reflects on pivotal moments in his life—including a childhood seizure that reshaped his family’s dynamic—and realizes that his art has the power to bring
people together.
EPISODE 3: ANGIE’S STORY
“Saving the Stories”
Synopsis: Angie Morales, a passionate librarian, learns that the neighborhood library is slated for closure.
Having spent her life inspired by books and driven to share their magic, Angie steps in to help the teens connect their marketplace to the library. Through flashbacks, Angie reflects on her
own struggles as a young dreamer and how books shaped her resilience. As the teens work together to showcase the library’s value to the community, they discover that saving the library is about more than preserving a space—it’s about creating a legacy of hope and change for
future generations.
