BEREA, OH — The Department of Theatre and Dance at Baldwin Wallace University presents Testing Ground, in informal showing of dance works in progress.

Testing Ground is a biannual event that provides an opportunity for student, faculty and alumni choreographers from Baldwin Wallace University, as well as local dance artists, to show new works that are in the developmental stage. After presenting their work, choreographers receive feedback from the audience, and a select panel of dance professionals from the North East Ohio dance community.

Choreographers showing work in the ‘fall edition’ include BW faculty members Sara Whale and Alyssa Wilmot, BW students Kiasia Parks, Bec Montague, Mawusi Nenonene, James Schlemmer, Gaby Martinez, BW alum Britt Sterling, and an appearance by Cleveland hip hop artist, Sam ‘Mac’ McIntosh. Special guests Sara Lawrence Sucato, from the Dancing Wheels Dance Company, and Steve Sucato, dance critic for Cleveland.com and the Cleveland Plain Dealer, will be offering feedback to the choreographers. The audience is encouraged to stay for both parts of the program, but may come and go as they choose.
