Subject: Seeking Cast & Crew for Psychological Thriller Short Film – Lorain County

Hey everyone,

I’m putting together a one to two-day shoot in Elyria, Ohio, for my latest psychological thriller short film and am looking for both cast and crew to bring this vision to life.
I am an award-winning filmmaker from the 2025 Short. Sweet. Film Festival, and while this is an unpaid project, I will provide food/snacks, drinks, IMDb credit, and all necessary equipment for the crew.

Since this is a one to two-day shoot, I’m specifically looking for local talent from Lorain County to keep travel reasonable.

🔹 FILM INFO – Shoot dates will be discussed, but I’m looking to film in June.

Logline:
A family's normal routine collides with fear and tragedy when an irreversible mistake shatters their lives forever.

🎭 CASTING CALL – 3 Roles Available

👨 Dad (Ages 30–40s)
👩 Mom (Ages 30–40s)
🧒 Child (Ages 8–12) – Must be comfortable with fake blood and a staged stabbing scene

📌 Note: The child actor’s parent/guardian must be present on set, and a signed release form will be required. It would be great to find a real family of actors who already have natural chemistry!

🎬 CREW ROLES NEEDED
(Experience is not required)

🎥 Camera Operator (Equipment provided)
💡 Gaffer (Lighting setup) (Equipment provided)
💄 Hair/Makeup Artist (Special effects skills preferred) – Makeup materials can be provided if needed.
📋 Production Assistant / 2nd Assistant Camera (2nd AC) – Assists with slate and general on-set support.
