Visiting Mr. Green

by JEFF BARON

Presented Online July 25 & 26, 2020
Pay-As-You-Can Donation

Directed by Carol Jafee Pribble
Starring Don Edelman & Krystopher Perry

CVLT presents an 'encore broadcast' of Visiting Mr. Green. By permission of the playwright and publisher, CVLT invites you to watch this acclaimed production filmed in 2016 at our River Street Playhouse.

The production stars veteran actor Don Edelman as Mr. Green, an elderly, grumpy, devoutly Jewish widower who wanders into New York City traffic, nearly being hit by the car of 29-year-old finance executive Ross Gardiner (played by Krystopher Perry). As a community service sentence, Gardiner is ordered to assist Mr. Green, visiting him weekly. What starts as a comedy about two men who do not want to be in the same room together becomes a gripping, moving drama as they get to know each other, opening old wounds they've been hiding and nursing for years.

Your donation in any amount helps us to cover costs while our buildings are closed and gives you password access to watch the video of this acclaimed performance at your convenience on July 25 & 26.

Support CVLT

Like many Chagrin Valley businesses and arts organizations, we are working creatively to remain a safe, viable venue for our patrons and the community. We are negotiating with several drama publishers to secure the rights to present additional virtual programs and are continuing to discuss our options for our 91st Season and beyond.

Although our buildings are closed at this time, funds are still needed to maintain the Main Stage and River Street Playhouse buildings along with our reduced staff. The CARES Act passed by Congress allows for additional above-the-line federal tax deductions for charitable gifts of up to $300 and can be claimed even if you are not itemizing on your 2020 tax return.

We hope you will consider CVLT in your charitable giving in this unprecedented time. Contact our Box Office at boxoffice@cvlt.org or donate online at https://app.arts-people.com/index.php?donation=cvlt
