The Last Lifeboat is the story of the Titanic that has never been told.  It explores not only the tragedy itself, but the sensationalized trials and aftermath of the night that changed the world forever. In the words of playwright Luke Yankee, it "is a large, epic story.  It is also a memory play...Above all, it is intended to be played for honesty, simplicity, and nothing arch or broadly comedic."

Roles include J. Bruce Ismay, William Randolph Hearst, Andrews, Chaplain, George Ismay, Lord Mersey, Butler, Sailor, Sanderson, Fry, Murdoch, Dr. McGee, Thomas Ismay, Morgan, Capt. Smith, Astor, Lightoller, Rector, Althorp, Vivan Pettiford, Florence Schiefflin, Mrs. Astor, Sophie, Mrs. Ryerson, Margaret Ismay, Lady Peale, Mrs. Chase, Italian wife, Angela, Dr. Grenfell, Evelyn Ismay, Farrelly, Attendant, Witness, Reporters, Senators, Valets, Party guests, Passengers, Theatre patrons, etc.

All roles are open and most will be double and triple cast.

Auditions will be held  at the Geauga Lyric Arts Center 106 Water St Chardon, Oh (Across the street from theater)

Auditions Information:

Be prepared to read from the script.  

N.B.: The script is available to read on-site at the Arts Center 10-5p Tuesday-Thursday.  Or email operations@geaugatheater.org to schedule a different time to read the script.

Rehearsals:

Rehearsals will begin July 31, Sundays through Thursdays 7-9:30 PM

Shows: Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays September 16-25, 2016

Casting Information:

All roles are open. 57 Characters; most roles will be double and triple cast.
