The Broadview Heights Spotlights will present Five Times in One Night by Chiara Atik. This event marks the return of the Spotlights’ Coffeehouse production after a two-year hiatus.
In this
comedic quintet, five couples explore the delights and disappointments of their
sex lives. Whether they are the first two people on Earth or the last two,
modern partners with shifting needs, exes on the eve of a life-altering event,
or twelfth-century pen pals, following those most natural desires uncovers
truths about their humanity. The characters in Five Times in One Night present a hilarious examination of intimacy
through the ages.
As a Spotlights’ Coffeehouse
Production, the evening features a complimentary beverage bar (non-alcoholic).
The coffee-house setting also offers luscious desserts available for purchase
for intermission (cash only, please). Dessert and beverage sponsors include
Michael Angelo's Bakery, Creekside Restaurant, and Caruso's Coffee.
Directed by Tara Corkery, with intimacy direction by Julia Fisher, the show features Calvin Adkins, Adam Alderson, Meghan Barylak, Sophia Costanzo, Daniel Hunsicker, Brian O. Jackson, Victoria Kirgesner-Hunsicker, Alexis Prewitt, and Sarah Price. This production is co-produced by Tim Anderson and Stephanie Malfara and stage managed by Madeline Saraniti.
The show runs Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, February 10 - 19, 2023. Friday and Saturday shows start at 7:30 PM, and the two Sunday matinees begin at 3:00 PM. Five Times in One Night will be presented at the Spotlights Theater, located on the Broadview Center campus, 9543 Broadview Road (next to the Police Station). Tickets are $17 for adults and $15 for students and seniors. The show contains sensitive material, violence, adult language, and sexual themes. The show is not recommended for children under the age of 17.
