Himalayan Dreams (a Tale of Nepal)
By Scott Miller
Directed by Alison Garrigan
September 14 through October 6, 2019
A young Sherpa boy, living in the Himalayan mountains, dreams of climbing the tallest mountain in the world with his hero, Tensing Norgay, the first Sherpa to reach the summit of Mount Everest. The young boy’s father works as a porter, carrying huge loads up and down the steep mountain trails. He thinks he knows his father, but only when he joins him on the trail does he learn who he really is and how the porter has secrets of his own. Join us in Nepal for this moving, humorous story about courage and coming of age under the grandest peaks on earth.
