West Side Community House is seeking a Theatre Teaching Artist to work at its 2017 Summer of Sisterhood program.
Summer of Sisterhood is an 8-week performing arts camp for girls ages 10-18.
The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 1pm to 6pm from June 14, 2017 - August 4, 2017.
Compensation: $5,000
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and demonstrate theatre arts integrated lesson plans
Lead 30 to 60 minute session teaching theatre skills to youth ages 10-18
Direct and execute several dramatic performances
Teach a variety of acting techniques while making it fun and exciting
Assist with planning the final performance
Work independently and as a team
Required Experience:
A minimum of 2 years' experience as a teaching artist
Experience working with youth of all cultures and from all backgrounds
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
This is an independent contract position.
