Individuals with great ideas to keep accelerating NEO can submit them to Accelerate: Citizens Make Change, a “civic pitch” event presented by Cleveland Leadership Center and Citizens Bank. The deadline is Thursday, November 30, 2017, to submit your idea via a simple online application. Civic pitches can be made in the categories of Community Change, Economic and Workforce Development, Education, Health and Wellness, and Quality of Life– which is where great ideas about arts and cultural initiatives can be entered. Past submissions have included a youth poetry project, outdoor art/exercise installations, drumming as a means of self-exploration and creating a local movie-making industry.

 

Pitches can be “one-and-done” projects or sustainable, ongoing efforts, but must be from individuals, not from or on behalf of organizations. Winners receive seed funding and everyone gets community exposure to help bring their vision to reality. Please help spread the word, and if you have a great, innovative, creative or compelling idea, apply by November 30 to be considered!
