Mamai Theatre Company announces AEA / Non-AEA 2017 Season auditions

AUDITION DATES - by appointment only

Tuesday, December 6, 6:00 – 10:00pm

Thursday, December 8, 6:00 – 10:00pm

Callbacks: Sunday, December 11, by appointment between 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Audition Location: The Cleveland Masonic Performing Arts Center, The Gold Room, 3615 Euclid Ave., Cleveland. (Free parking on site in gated lot off of Euclid Avenue. Enter west-bound on Euclid at the red “Masonic Parking” sign after the Red Cross parking signs).

AUDITION PREPARATION

Sides will be emailed upon scheduling an audition appointment. Prepared monologues are welcome but not required. Bring a copy of headshot & resume.

FAQs:

Setting: Somewhere in the western world, 1879.
No dialects will be required.
Anna’s role will be combined with Ellen, the maid’s.
The Porter and the children’s roles have been cut.
Wilder has Americanized the dialogue as well as some names: Torvald becomes Thorwald and Kristine, Christina.

Rehearses at Masonic Gold Room: July 10-30, 2017.
Moves to the Helen at Playhouse Square: July 31.
Tech: August 5-8.
Performance run: August 9-27, 2017: Wed-Sat at 7:30pm, Sun at 2:30pm.
There is (1) AEA Special Appearance Agreement (Level I) contract available.
Non-AEA Stipend is increased from 2013-2016 rate.
