MTC to Hold Auditions for Monty Python’s Spamalot

Youngstown, Ohio- The Millennial Theatre Company (MTC) is holding auditions for Monty Python’s Spamalot. Auditions will be held Thursday, May 2 from 6-9pm at The Youngstown Playhouse and Saturday, May 4 from 12-3pm at Hopewell Theatre. Auditioners should prepare a 30-60 second cut of a song in the style of the show. An accompanist and bluetooth speaker will be provided. Seeking a diverse cast of actors ages 16+. All roles are open. Please come prepared to learn a short dance combo and do a cold reading. A tap call will also be held at the conclusion of the audition hours. Headshot and resume are encouraged, but not required. 

Lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Monty Python's Spamalot retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, and features a bevy of beautiful show girls, not to mention cows, killer rabbits, and French people. Did we mention the bevy of beautiful showgirls? The 2005 Broadway production won three Tony® Awards, including Best Musical, and was followed by two successful West End runs. The outrageous, uproarious, and gloriously entertaining story of King Arthur and the Lady of the Lake will delight audiences as they search for the Holy Grail and “always look on the bright side of life.”
