Due to unfortunate circumstances, Cold Start Films is seeking local non-union male talent to replace an actor in a lead role ("David") for our feature-length indie thriller "CUT: Reckoning", the sequel to the 2003 film "CUT", originally written and directed by Carlos P. Quiros.

SYNOPSIS:
15 years after being abducted, tortured, and left for dead by sadistic college classmates, Jody has overcome multiple personal tragedies to settle into a seemingly normal life, but an unexpected encounter sends her world, along with those of of her former captors, crashing back together in a dark cat-and-mouse game involving bitter vengeance, serial killers, and a dangerous love triangle

CHARACTER:
DAVID - 30-ish. Any ethnicity. First-year homicide detective. Boyishly handsome and charming with youthful enthusiasm and naivete. "Eagle Scout" personality.

Auditions will be held Sunday, September 23 from 4pm to 7pm at Kent State University Center for the Performance Arts (CPA building) in Kent, OH. For those unable to attend the audition, video submissions will be accepted until the date of the live auditions. Contact us via the Cold Start Films website for video submission instructions.

Production is already underway and will be ongoing throughout the Fall and Winter of 2018 (primarily interior scenes) and will conclude in the Spring of 2019 when warmer weather returns to allow for a few of our large-scale exterior scenes. Filming takes place at various locations, primarily around the Akron-Canton area.

Please note, this is a micro-budget project that is seeking online crowdfunding for additional support, so at this time cast and crew positions are not paid, however any production-related travel expenses such as fuel to-and-from sets will be reimbursed and on-set meals/facilities provided.
