Feel free to share this "game" with Music, Theatre, and English teachers

The end of the school year is always a challenging time to keep students engaged and learning.  I've created a Musical Theatre Music Match activity that I know would be helpful for upper Elementary?, Middle School and High School teachers to use.  (I'll never retire from music teaching!)

MUSIC MATCH VIDEO LINK has orchestrations from 8 TND Musicals and a cast photo as a "clue" to the name of the show.  Students get a Worksheet with the 8 show logos and a box to write what music/photo goes to which show as they listen and watch the video.  The teacher has the Answer Sheet.  (See attachments).  This could be used as an individual "assignment," or as a class discussion about the stories and how the music illustrates that story.  All but two musicals are based on classic literature.

FYI: Last year a Final Jeopardy question was asked "In literature Tom Sawyer’s guardian was this relative who was based in part on Mark Twain’s old mom."

Only one contestant, Allison, responded“Who is Aunt Becky?”  Answer: Aunt Polly
