This month: Featured Reading of The Shill by Greg Mandryk followed by Open Mic
The
Dark Room is a place where writers take center stage and their work
has a chance to grow. The Dark Room is an ongoing event held on the second
Tuesday of each month. The Dark Room affords emerging and veteran playwrights the space and resources
to develop new works. It offers a venue to workshop plays, novels, poems, or
any other written work in a supportive, yet critical environment.

will be cast on the spot!
7:30pm: Featured Reading of The Shill by Greg Mandryk
And don't forget - FREE BEER
Suggested donation of $5 is welcomed at the door, but not required.
ABOUT THE FEATURED PERFORMANCE: Earth has been invaded and humans are now the hottest food on the
supermarket shelves of the aliens’ home planet. A struggling actor
auditions to be the new mascot for Varkon Ranch’s new line of
human-based food products. It’s an audition he has to nail, because if
he’s not on the package, he’ll be in it.
ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT: Greg has been a regular contributor to CPT’s Dark Room for over a
decade. His work has managed to crop up in short play festivals
throughout the country.
Open session readings are
first come, first serve until all slots have been allotted. Please bring
enough copies of your script so that every actor has their own copy.
Please bring a copy for any stage directions to be read as well. Advance
submissions are not necessary.
See you in the Dark Room!-Mindy
