THE CEDAR LEE THEATRE PAYS TRIBUTE TO HOLLYWOOD LEGEND DORIS DAY

Special showing of “Pillow Talk” on the big screen

(Cleveland, OH) – Screen icon and recording star Doris Day passed away at the age of 97 on May 13th. The Cedar Lee Theatre (2163 Lee Rd., Cleveland Hts.) will pay tribute to Day with a special showing of her Oscar-nominated performance in the comedy PILLOW TALK on Sunday, May 19th at 1:00 PM.

Hollywood legends Doris Day and Rock Hudson light up the screen in the Academy Award-winning romantic comedy PILLOW TALK. When uptight interior decorator Jan Morrow (Day) is to share a telephone party line with carefree playboy Brad Allen (Hudson), there is no connection between them. However, when the two accidentally meet in person, sparks fly and the smitten Brad pretends to be a wealthy Texan, wooing Jan with late-night calls. Featuring timeless songs by Doris Day and scene-stealing performances by Tony Randall and Thelma Ritter, this charming comedy will sweep you off your feet.

The film was nominated for 5 Academy Awards, including Best Actress for Day. It’s a performance that captures her incredible spirit and unique screen presence. Day’s musical talents are also on display as she sings the title theme and the song “Roly Poly.”

Tickets to see PILLOW TALK are $6 at the Cedar Lee Theatre or online at clevelandcinemas.com.

In honor of Doris Day’s lifelong commitment to animal welfare, a portion of each admission will benefit House of Mews Cat Rescue. House of Mews will be at the Cedar Lee Theatre with animals in need of homes.
