This award-winning play by Jerome Chodorov and Norman Panama offers up equal parts of comedy and mystery to keep you both amused and guessing at the edge of your seat. The cast features Tori MacNair, David Hess, Craig Gifford, Shannon Sidorick, Morgan Albert, Bobby Thomas and Brendon Berns.
In a role made famous by Angela Lansbury for the BBC-TV's version, local actress Tori MacNair plays 'Anne Royce McClean,' a free-wheeling, hard-drinking, wheelchair-bound, successful mystery novelist. Anne owns a priceless art collection that her relatives just might just kill to possess, along with her historic mansion.
Her family includes a cash-strapped poet son, played by Craig Gifford and his attractive but ruthless wife (Shannon Sidorick), and a sweet granddaughter with her dubious husband (Morgan Albert and Brendon Berns), all of whom scheme for favor while double-crossing each other. Her only allies might be her live-in doctor/ex-lover (Bobby Thomas), and her butler 'Rashi,' an East Indian paroled convict (David Hess). Did we mention Anne is also a bit of a firebug? You get the picture.
