Directed by Carol Jaffee Pribble and produced by Cindee Catalano-Edelman and Nancy Rogoff, the play is set in Beverly Hills in 1984 during an intense weekend in the Goldstein household.
After a high stakes community meeting at Seymour Goldstein’s B’nai B’rith lodge, the family is forced to confront questions of heritage, assimilation, activism, courage, and conviction. Seymour wrestles with the decision of whether to allow the militant Jewish Defense League to rally his lodge against an upcoming Nazi Party event nearby. Long After Crystal Night is a timely and deeply human story that balances serious themes with a sustained comic tone.
