The Story

While spying on their wives at a "Girls' Night Out," a group of unemployed steelworkers from Buffalo sees how much they enjoy watching male strippers. Jealous, out of work and feeling emasculated, the men come up with a bold and unclothed way to make some quick cash. In preparing, they find themselves extremely exposed; not merely physically but emotionally. As they conquer their fears, self-consciousness and prejudices, the men come to discover that they're stronger as a group, and the strength that they find in each other gives them the individual courage to "let it go." Based on the cult hit film of the same name, The Full Monty, a ten-time Tony Award nominee, is filled with honest affection, engaging melodies and the most highly anticipated closing number of any show.

Character Breakdown

** Monty Men: If you are auditioning for any one of these 6 roles, or Keno, you need to be very comfortable with your body; enough to perform on stage in your underwear and eventually a g-string. You must be prepared to do so and must agree to such to be considered for those roles: Roles that include this requirement indicated by (**). Trust is a key word for our production – you will be taken care of respectfully and our final moment (The Full Monty), will be powerful.

** Noah “Horse” T. Simmons: (Male, Baritone) An African American mill worker. Gentle demeanor. Seemingly, his “break-dancing” days are over until he breaks out. Excellent mover with great dead-pan comedy.
