On June 3, 2017 Akron’s Highland Square neighborhood will play host to the first annual Summit StageFest. There will be various stages set up where different theater companies from Summit County and surrounding areas will be performing live theatrical pieces. There will also be street performers, stage combat, other theater related activities and art and food vendors.

One of the stages will be dedicated to any performers who would like to be involved regardless of their theater affiliation. If you and your friends would like to perform at the event, here is your chance.

On March 26 and 28 from 6-10 PM, Weathervane Playhouse will host auditions for this event. We ask that you prepare a scene, anywhere from 10-30 minutes, and bring it to auditions. Please also bring a copy of the entire piece that you plan to perform. You do not have to be off book for the audition. StageFest is a family event so your scene will need to be PG at most.
