WANTED: SINGERS & MUSICIANS NEEDED FOR LOCAL OPERA
Great Lakes Light Opera is in need of singers and concert musicians for a performance of Manuel de Falla’s opera La Vida Breve on August 2nd in Cleveland. This is a great volunteer opportunity for young singers and musicians to build up their resume, and could lead to further possibilities with GLLO and other associated performance groups. Singers should have experience singing opera or in Spanish. Musicians should have some concert performance experience. We are currently in need of the following vocalists and instruments:
Vocalist Concert Instruments
Tenors Violin Oboe
Baritones Viola Bassoon
Cataor Flamenco (Baritone) Cello Clarinet
Double Bass Flute
Piano Percussion
Classical Guitar (flamenco preferably)
Musician rehearsals will be July 18 and 19, with a sitzprobe on July 20th with the full cast of singers. Blocking and music rehearsals will follow through the weeks leading to a technical/dress rehearsal on August 1st, and culminating with the performance Sunday, August 2nd at the Cleveland World Festival.
