MTC to Hold Auditions for Avenue Q the Musical This Week!

Youngstown, Ohio- The Millennial Theatre Company (MTC) is excited to announce auditions for the Tony Award-winning Best Musical, Avenue Q! Auditions will be held at The Hopewell Theatre in Youngstown (702 Mahoning Ave, Youngstown, OH 44502) on November 17 from 6-9pm and November 19 from 12-3pm. Rehearsals are slated to begin on November 21. All actors will be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID19, including the Omicron-specific booster, if eligible. Proof of vaccination

will be required before the first rehearsal. 

Avenue Q performs January 20-22 and 27-29 at The Hopewell Theatre with rehearsals running Monday-Thursday from 6-9pm. 

Auditioners (ages 16+) should prepare a 30-60 second cut of a song in the style of the show. An accompanist and speaker will be provided. There will also be a cold read from the script, along with some light puppet work. All roles are open. The laugh-out-loud musical tells the timeless story of a recent college grad named Princeton, who moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q. He soon discovers that, although the residents seem nice, it's clear that this is not your ordinary neighborhood. Together, Princeton and his new-found friends struggle to find jobs, dates and their ever-elusive purpose in life.
