Aurora Community Theatre is seeking Directors, Musical Directors & Choreographers for their 2016 – 2017 Season

Good People October 28 – November 19 2016

Good People is a 2011 play by David Lindsay-Abaire. The world premiere was staged by the Manhattan Theatre Club in New York City. The production was nominated for two 2011 Tony Awards - Best Play and Best Leading Actress in a Play (Frances McDormand), with the latter winning.

Bus Stop January 27 – February 2017

Bus Stop is a drama, with romantic and some comedic elements. It is set in a diner in rural Kansas, about 25 miles west of Kansas City, Missouri during a snowstorm from which bus passengers must take shelter.

The King and I April 29 – May 20 2017

The King and I is a musical, the fifth by the team of composer Richard Rodgers and dramatist Oscar Hammerstein II. It is based on the 1944 novel Anna and the King of Siam by Margaret Landon

Grease June 30 – July 15

Grease is a 1971 musical by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey with additional songs written by John Farrar. Named for the 1950s United States working-class youth subculture known as greasers, the musical is set in 1959 at fictional Rydell High School (based on Chicago, Illinois' William Howard Taft School) and follows ten working-class teenagers as they navigate the complexities of peer pressure, politics, personal core values, and love.
