Porthouse Theatre, Kent State University's summer, professional theatre, will hold preliminary auditions for its 2019 Season on Monday, January 28 and Tuesday, January
29 from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. at Kent State University's School of Theatre and Dance in Kent, OH.
Porthouse Theatre seeks performers of all races, ethnicities, and ages to fill Equity and non-Equity roles in productions of
Man of La Mancha; Tintypes; and Meredith Willson's The Music Man. The cast of
Man of La Mancha will cross-over to the cast of The Music Man. We are seeking actors young enough to play Winthrop and Amaryllis in
The Music Man to actors mature enough to play Mrs. Paroo and Eulalia Shin in
The Music Man as well as the Housekeeper in Man of La Mancha. Up to 13 Equity contracts are available.
Man of La Mancha is directed by Porthouse Producing Artistic Director Terri Kent.
Rehearsals begin May 28, 2019. Performances run June 13 - 29, 2019.
Tintypes is directed by Porthouse Executive Producer Eric van Baars. Rehearsals
begin June 18, 2019. Performances run July 4 - July 20, 2019.
Meredith Willson's
The Music Man is directed by Porthouse Producing Artistic Director Terri Kent. Rehearsals being July 19, 2019. Performances run July 25 - August 11, 2019.
