Spotlights Theater’s Coffee House Production

Spotlights will present a series of new one-act plays by Cleveland-area
playwright, Greg Mandryk. The evening of theater, entitled Nonsense, Nonsense, Intermission, More Nonsense features eight zany, hysterical, and absurd
pieces including “Special Extra Treatment,” “Venus Needs Men,” and “Famous Last
Words.” As the Spotlights’ annual coffeehouse production, the evening features
a complimentary beverage bar (non-alcoholic). The coffee house setting also
offers luscious desserts for purchase during intermission (cash only, please).
Dessert and beverage sponsors include Michael Angelo's Bakery, Creekside
Restaurant, and Caruso's Coffee.
The show run Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays,
January 31 – February 9, 2020. Friday and Saturday shows start at 7:30 PM, and
the two Sunday matinees begin at 3:00 PM. Nonsense, Nonsense, Intermission,
More Nonsense will be presented at the Spotlights Theater, located on the
Broadview Center campus, 9543 Broadview Road (next to the Police Station).
Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for students and seniors. The show is
not recommended for children under the age of 15.
The playwright has been
seen on stage at the Spotlights and is a longtime contributor at Cleveland
Public Theatre's Dark Room, a collaborative group of playwrights and performers
that try out new material. His work has been produced in several one-act festivals
in Northeast Ohio and beyond! His Bloody,
Little Pieces, a
collection of short horror plays, premiered at Blank Canvas Theatre in
September of 2018.
Nonsense, Nonsense, Intermission, More Nonsense is directed by David L. Munnell. The cast includes Kyla Burks,
Samantha Cocco, Cat Kenney, Assad Khaishgi, Grace Mitri, Austin Sasser, and
Hannah Storch. Eli Ravenson is the stage manager, assisted by Stephanie
Malfara. Annette Phelps is the costumer, and Tim Anderson and Amy
McSweeney serve as co-producers.
