Join us from the Barn at our monthly installment of Acting Up at the Chestnut Beer Garden (CBG Falls) for our open mic and readings series. Wednesday June 18th from 6pm-8pm, this month we are PREPARING THE FEAST.  For us, the summer @WRP is a true feast. In a couple of different ways. Our upcoming production of Andrew Lippa's The Wild Party is a sexy and dangerous feast for all the senses.
A steamy prohibition tale, steamrolling and roaring its way across the stage, Andrew Lippa's Wild Party was an Off-Broadway gem that garnered an array of industry accolades, including Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Obie awards. Based on Joseph Moncure March's 1928 narrative poem of the same name, this darkly brilliant show features one of the most exciting, pulse-racing scores ever written.
At CBG we will have a reading of the original narrative poem, and maybe, just maybe some surprise visit from some of our cast.

This summer's outdoor traveling production is it's own Feast of Fools as we will be staging Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, so our theme for this open mic will be revelry and tom-foolery, bring your jokes, your stand up routine, and all of your stories that are just too funny to believe.
