Leslie Howard is Professor Henry Higgins and Wendy Hiller is Eliza Doolittle in this non-musical film version of George Bernard Shaw’s famous play—about a linguist who believes he can pass off a Covent Garden flower seller as a duchess. Shaw himself wrote the screenplay for this classic movie, generally regarded as the best film of a Shaw play. (It was adapted into the musical My Fair Lady in 1956.) 35mm. 96 min.
