Based on T.S. Eliot's “Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats,” Andrew Lloyd Webber’s CATS is the winner of numerous awards including two Oliviers, a Grammy, and seven Tony awards including Best Musical. CATS tells the imaginative story of the annual gathering of the Jellicle cats, where one of them will be chosen to ascend to the Heaviside Layer to be reborn. Through song and dance, each cat tries to show the wise elder, Old Deuteronomy, that they are the most worthy of a new life. With its dazzling choreography, whimsical costumes and magnificent score, the show has endured for more than 30 years as one of the most breathtaking theatrical experiences of all time, becoming the second-longest running show in Broadway history, as well as a world-wide sensation. at the Tickets go on sale September 1st.
