Job Opening:  Stage Manager (Sandusky State Theatre)

The Sandusky State Theatre is currently seeking a Stage Manager for its upcoming production of  “Ghostlight.”  

This position will work directly with Director, Choreographer, Musical Director and Technical Design team to ensure the smooth execution of the show.    

 Ghostlight is a brand new musical about Sandusky, Ohio.

Audition Dates are May 5 and 6   

Rehearsal Start Date would be July 28  

Rehearsals will be at Trinity United Methodist Church

Technical Rehearsals and performances will be at Sandusky State Theater

Preview night is Aug 23 show runs through Aug 25

Responsibilities:

1.  Work with Director, Cast, Choreographer, Musical Director and Technical Design team.

2.   Create show specific paperwork which may include (but not limited to):  blocking notes, props tracking, run sheets, contact sheets, schedules, etc.

3.   Oversee the running of the deck during rehearsal and show calls

4.   Serve as a primary point of contact for both the artistic and production staff

Qualifications:

Experience with SM Musicals

A motivated self-starter who is able to anticipate the needs of a production and help facilitate them

A calm, level headed individual who knows how to balance the work that needs to be done.

Exceptionally detail oriented and able to generate clear, efficient paperwork

This position will be an hourly rate based on experience.

Local housing is a possibility.
