BEREA, OH – The Department of Theatre and Dance at Baldwin Wallace
University continues its Lab Series with a production of William Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar directed by BFA Acting senior, Josh
Kass-Amsterdam.
The Bard's most riveting history takes
the stage at BW! Political intrigue, murder, and war seize Rome in a
stranglehold, showing that not even a great empire is above the base
instincts of ambition, politics, and guilt. Shakespeare's poetic and
poignant re-telling of this historical event raises the same questions
now as it did in 1599. As Brutus, Cassius, and their co-conspirators
plot to dethrone Julius Caesar, we have to ask ourselves: How must
dictators be handled?
BW is currently under a
mask-optional policy. Masks are no longer required at BW events.
However, all guests are welcome to continue wearing masks.
