WHAT TO KNOW:

This ancient Greek story centers around Medea, who finds herself cast aside by her husband, the Greek hero Jason. He has decided on a new, politically advantageous marriage to the princess Creusa, daughter of Creon, the king of Corinth. Medea’s rage and grief grows as she learns that she is to be banished, and must leave her sons behind. Fueled by this fire, she hatches a horrific plan to enact revenge upon Jason, and punish him for his ultimate betrayal.
