The Cleveland Opera opens its 22nd season with a series of free concerts, open to the public.  

The first concert in the series is “Fall in Love” …With The Cleveland Opera.  The concert opens with the toast -- Brindisi -- from Verdi's La Traviata, followed by the most famous arias and duets of Violetta, Alfredo, and his father Giorgio Germont.  Other beloved duets include that of Nedda & Silvio from I Pagliacci by Leoncavallo; the Mimi-Rodolfo duet from Act 1 of La Bohème by Puccini; and the duet from The Pearl Fishers by Bizet.  Lighter repertoire for this program will include selections from contemporary American musicals sung in English.  The featured artists are Dorota Sobieska, soprano; Kyle Kelvington, tenor; Jeremy Gilpatric, baritone; and Jacek Sobieski, piano & music director.
