Rubber City Shakespeare Company is casting non-equity actors for its spring production of Elton John and Tim Rice's Aida.
The following roles are available:
Radames
Amonasro
Male Ensemble (Nubians/Ministers/Soliders)
Female Ensemble (Nubians/Handmaidens)
Second Round of Auditions are December 15 & 16 from 6:30pm-9:00pm and are held at the Summit Artspace 140 E. Market St. Second Floor Akron, OH 44308.
The production runs February 12-28, Thursday- Saturday evenings and Sunday matinees. Rehearsals begin January 10 through February 11, from 6:30-10pm (Sunday-Thursday) with the exception of tech week which is 6-11pm.
Please sign up for an audition on our website and prepare 32 bars of a musical theatre or Elton John song, and prepare to learn a small dance combination.
This is a non-equity production but stipends will be paid to actors in the production.
Radames An Egyptian Captain and the son of Zoser. A strong, handsome, adventurous soldier who falls in
love with Aida. Male, 20-28 yrs old Range: B3 - G5
Amonasro An honorable and peaceful man who is imprisoned by Egypt.
The King of Nubia and father to Aida. Male, 40-55 yrs old. Speaking Role
