AUDITION NOTICE: Killer Competition – New Musical
A Christina Worcester Production
Produced in partnership with The Arts Inclusion Incubator at the Akron Civic Theatre
Actors are invited to audition for Killer Competition, a darkly comedic new musical by Christina Worchester being produced this summer in Wild Oscar’s, the intimate theatre space at the Akron Civic Theatre.
About the Show
Some people will do anything to win…
Killer Competition takes place behind the scenes of a televised singing competition called The Summit. Ten hopeful contestants arrive believing they’re about to compete for a life-changing prize: $500,000, a record deal, and instant fame.
But when one contestant is found dead in their hotel room, the competition takes a deadly turn.
With the show forced to continue filming, the remaining singers must navigate rivalries, friendships, budding romance, and growing paranoia as suspicion begins to fall on everyone. Is it an accident… or is someone literally killing the competition?
Blending musical theatre, satire, and murder mystery, Killer Competition explores ambition, fame, and just how far people will go when the spotlight is on the line.
