Responsibilities:
Artist agrees with the following responsibilities and declares to provide quality and professional work to the project at all times. These items are essential and non-negotiable. Failure to accomplish these tasks will cause termination of your artist agreement.
▪ Develop daily theatre lesson plans and contribute to the overall SOS project
▪ Oversee and orchestrate the theatre portion of the final performance
▪Identify and select participants for specific roles for the music CD and final performance
▪ Provide theatre instruction to participants (stage etiquette, pronunciation, improvisation, acting, etc.)
▪ Assist with some aspects of the recording process (pronunciation, vocal expression, etc.)
▪ Maintain a healthy and professional relationship with participants, parents, teaching artists and staff at all times
▪ Monitor and track participant behavior, attitude and capabilities
▪ Work in conjunction with all other teaching artists when necessary
▪ Be punctual and prepared each day
▪ Assist with promoting Summer of Sisterhood
▪Assist with final performance set-up and break down on 08/07/2015
▪ Other duties as assigned and needed
Schedule:
Artist agrees to be present and on time for every scheduled date. Artist is responsible for securing a qualified substitute in case of an unforeseen absence.
June 17th – August 7th
Mondays – Fridays from 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Occasional Saturdays and/or Sundays (if needed)
NOTE: Artist MUST be present for callbacks and artist meeting on Saturday, May 30th from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. The SOS final performance will be held on Friday, August 7th at 7 p.m. Artist is required to arrive no later than 3 p.m. and stay no later than 9:45 p.m.
Compensation:
Artist will be compensated $4,875.00. Payment is contingent upon quality of performance and completion of all scheduled work hours.
