BEREA, OH – The Department of Theatre and Dance at Baldwin Wallace University presents Testing Ground directed by Professor Sara Whale.

Come and see what Baldwin Wallace University student and faculty dance makers are experimenting with in their laboratory! Testing Ground is a biannual event that offers choreographers the chance to show new dance works that are in the developmental stage. Choreographers receive feedback from area dance professionals and audience, to encourage them to return to the studio to edit and improve their work.
Guest artists include NE Ohio based dance-maker and arts educator, Megan Pitcher Young who serves as the BW Dance Program’s critic-in-residence, and Professor Jordan Saul conducting the BW Treble Choir. Choreographers showing work for the ‘fall edition’ include Mawusi Nenonene, Bre Pacek, Jimmy Schlemmer and Emily Pisarra, MaryPat Dorr, Samantha Dzielski, Sabrina Jaffe, Analese Chandler, Alyssa Garrison, Alyssa Peto, Ali Manfredi, Sara Whale.

Admission is free, however donations will be gratefully accepted to aid and support our students’ trip to the 2018 American College Dance Association Regional Conference at Ohio University in March 2018.
