The School of Dancing Wheels offers a week-long Adult Summer Dance Workshop for dancers and dance enthusiasts 15 years and older.

This intensive workshop includes instruction in improvisation, repertory, and the Dancing Wheels technique based on traditional modern dance that is translated and adapted for dancers with and without disabilities.  New this year, students will receive training based on our teacher-training manual.  We will take participants on a step-by-step guide of how to perform and teach our specific technique. 

This Workshop may also serve as an opportunity to audition potential trainees and apprentices for The Dancing Wheels Company.

Dates:   June 15-June 19, 2015; 10a.m. to 3 p.m. daily

Culminating in-studio performance open to the public on Friday, June 19 at 1:30p.m

Calling all artists, dancers, and actors… are you ready to spend the summer exploring a new way to look at accessibility your world? Students of all abilities ages 5 to 20 years old are invited to our 2-1/2 week interactive Youth Arts Camp “Elements of Access”… featuring fun and educational instruction about the Americans with Disabilities Act and its importance in our society.  This year marks the monumental 25^th anniversary of the signing of the ADA and the 35^th anniversary of the Dancing Wheels Company.  In order to honor these achievements, our youth summer program will have the opportunity to perform in two different citywide events while spending their days learning about the importance of acceptance. Students will take daily classes in dance, visual art, and drama.  Students will also take a field trip their first week to see the professional Dancing Wheels Company perform in honor of the ADA anniversary!  On the evening of their last day, students will join the Dancing Wheels Company for a full evening performance in University Circle.

Dates:  July 6- July 22, 2015; Monday through Friday 10a.m. to 3p.m. daily

Final performance for family and friends on the evening of Wednesday, July 22^nd!!
