Wake Up And Live’s Actors Studio (WUAL) Needs Additional Female Cast Member 

                            WUAL Presents     “Black and Blue Rhapsody,” by  Richard Asbury.
                                            co-Directed by Anthony Harris Brown and Richard Asbury 

Female Character needed for role of Mary Ellen:

Bl female.  Mid-20’s – early 40’s. Capable of aging the character, over 20 years.

Mary Ellen, Mail Carrier, not afraid to express her feelings about political, social, and cultural issues. A ‘bubbly,’ energetic woman, Mary Ellen is an optimist who brings a hopeful attitude to most situations.

“Black and Blue Rhapsody” is an exciting drama about the ongoing attitudes, beliefs, perceptions and behaviors experienced between African American neighborhoods and police community relations.

“Black and Blue Rhapsody” raises the question, “Does anything change except the date?” when it comes to African American and police community relations?

The story unfolds at the Rainey Institute, 1705 E. 55th Street, Cleveland, OH 44103. 
 Saturday, June 1st, 7:00 P and Sunday, June 2nd, 3:00 P.
 Rehearsals beginning, Wed. 4/17, 6:00 P, Maple Hts. Library. 
Next rehearsal, Sat. April, 20, 2:00 P.  Van Aken Blvd.
