Shakespeare in the Square 2018

“AS YOU LIKE IT”

Date: Wednesday MAY 23^RD and Thursday MAY 24^TH

Audition appointments are strongly suggested however walk-ins will be seen when time allows.

Time: 7-9 PM

Production dates: August 30^th & 31^st  September 1^st & 2^nd (Labor Day Weekend)

Rehearsals will begin July 8^th

Shakespeare in the Square will hold open (ages 16 and up) auditions for the outdoor production of “As You Like It” to be held in the historic Medina Square August 30^th, 31^st, September 1^st and 2^nd (Labor Day Weekend). While Shakespeare’s original script, albeit heavily edited, will be used, this production will be a non-traditional version presented with a vintage circus theme.

Ladies Please Note: As usual Shakespeare has been stingy with the female roles in this comedy. Along with the leads some of the traditionally male characters are being adapted to allow for more female role.

Audition Requirements:

Please come prepared with a monologue, preferably Shakespeare, not longer than 3 minutes. You may be asked to cold read from the script as well.

Please bring a headshot and resume if you have them, but it’s not required.

Please bring your calendar with ALL conflicts between July 8^th – Sept 2^nd .
