JOSEPH performances will be Thursday( July 14 and 21), Friday (July 15 and 22) and Saturday(July 16 and 23) at 7:30 PM Sunday(July 17 and 24) at 2 PM at the Ahuja Auditorium in Hathaway Brown School. The school is located at 19600 North Park Blvd, Shaker Hts. OH 44120. Tickets are $20 - general admission, $15 - Students 18 and under. Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat(colloquially known as Joseph) is a sung-through musical by Tim Rice (lyrics) and Andrew Lloyd Webber (music) , based on the character of Joseph from the Bible’s Book of Genesis.  It was the first Lloyd Webber /Rice musical to be publicly performed and their first collaboration. Joseph has received 6 Tony Award nominations including Best musical and Best original score    

Sha la la, Joseph, you’re doing fine! You and your dreamcoat, ahead of your time!” One of the most enduring shows of all time, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a reimagining of the Biblical story of Joseph, his father Jacob, eleven brothers and the coat of many colors. Told entirely through song with the help of a main character Narrator, the musical follows preferred son Joseph through all of his trouble until he is finally reunited with his family

The magical musical is full of catchy songs in a variety of styles, from a parody of French ballads (“Those Canaan Days”), to country-western (“One More Angel in Heaven”) and calypso (“Benjamin Calypso''), along with the unforgettable classics “Any Dream Will Do” and “Close Every Door.”   

HBTI, a co-ed summer program, open to all Northeastern Ohio students is part of the Performing Arts Dept of Hathaway Brown School. Joseph is Directed and Choreographed by Bebe Weinberg Katz, with Musical Direction by John Krol, Set and Lighting Designed by John Rawlings, Costume and Props designed by Vanessa Cook and Sound Designed by Richard Ingraham. Ollie Rood serves as the Assistant Director and Sarah Scott as the Assistant Choreographer.
