WHAT:

“Golden (A Grimm’s Faerie Tale),” performed in the traditional Commedia style, is a colorful, sparkling tale of loyalty, friendship and family. Actor Miron Gusso plays a mute Arlecchino/Zanni stock character named Zan’Chino with expert physical comedy and puppeteer experience. Thayer’s script allowed the cast, director Alison Garrigan and movement director Cathleen O’Malley to develop lazzi, or improvised dialogue and action to tell the story! Tumbling, quick costume changes and music will have children laughing and singing and adults smiling the whole way home.

Melanie Boeman’s handmade commedia masks and original, handpainted costumes spring characters to life with vivid color to match Garrigan’s sun-splashed set design.
