He is one of
Broadway's greatest treasures, and he'll be with us in Cleveland for two
performances of a very special concert. If you don't know John Kander by name, you know his music
for big Broadway hits including Cabaret,
Chicago and Kiss of the Spider Woman, plus the blockbuster title song from
Hollywood’s New York, New York. At
88, this Oberlin alum is still a force on Broadway, and you'll hear selections
from his great shows written with lyricist Fred Ebb. As a team, Kander &
Ebb were the Rodgers & Hammerstein of the second half of the 20th century.
Live performances, video clips and lots more. The concert is co-hosted by Bill Rudman and Tony Award winner Karen Ziemba with vocalists Derrick
Cobey, Katherine DeBoer and Matthew Wright.
