Resident Teaching Artist
Center for Arts-Inspired Learning
The Center for Arts-Inspired Learning is hiring a Resident Teaching Artist with mastery in theatre, music or musical theatre to facilitate in-school and out-of-school time residencies. The Resident Teaching Artist will work to ensure the Center for Arts-Inspired Learning develops successful, effective and creative arts integration and educational programs throughout Northeast Ohio for a variety of learners. Resident Teaching Artists will research and develop programs that are innovative, artistic and are connected to core subject matter. RTAs will also gather data, document processes and participate in professional development as appropriate. The position also demands an understanding of youth development and how to effectively engage students who represent multiple ages, backgrounds and previous exposure to the arts.

As a team, artists will collaborate and develop innovative programming that delivers measurable impact, create new partnerships with schools and venues, improve existing partnerships through communication and transparency, research, and participate in training sessions and communicate regularly with administrative staff.
We expect everyone to adhere to organization policies and procedures, work in a safe manner, be able to rise under pressure, and be creative problem solvers. This position requires a great deal of flexibility and creative adaptation of time to serve and be successful in multiple classroom and community environments.

Compensation:
Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience of the candidate and highly competitive to what is being offered by similar organizations. Resident Teaching Artists also receive paid holidays including Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day, accrued sick days and two weeks of vacation after one year of employment.
