“STELLALUNA AND OTHER
TALES”
(THEATER FOR YOUNG
AUDIENCES)
As part of its TYA Series (Theater for Young Audiences) the
Broadview Heights Spotlights Theater will be presenting the musical “Stellaluna
and Other Tales" on Saturdays and Sundays, October 5-13, 2019. Saturday
shows are at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.; Sunday shows are at 2 p.m.
Stellaluna the bat, Verdi the snake, and Pinduli
the hyena all seek refreshment at a watering hole one hot day, only to find
themselves the subjects of a bullying lion's ridicule. But by sharing stories
about building self-confidence, these three misfit animals find wisdom, peace,
and friendship. Based on the popular books by Janell Cannon, this delightful
musical is a treat for both children and adults.
All seats are $12 and reservations can be made
online at www.broadview-heights-spotlights.org . Walk-ins are welcome if seating is available.
All shows will be held at the Broadview Heights
Spotlights Theater on the Broadview Center Campus, 9543 Broadview Road (next to
the Police Department).
The show is directed by Tim Anderson, and
co-produced by Brenton Cochran and Tara Corkery. The cast includes Roxana Bell,
Adam Bowers, Lydia Greer, Stephanie Malfara, James Newton, and Peggy
Newton.
