This June Gilda Shedstecker Presents! brings the Roaring Twenties of Downton Abbey and Gatsby to the Kathleen Howland Theatre in what critics have called Noel Coward's funniest play.
Starring Jacki Dietz and Trisha Joy Fites as best friends Julia and Jane, these married ladies in London bemoan the lack of romance in their proper marriages until the shadow of a Man From Their Past threatens to upset their staid but reliable worlds. When their husbands leave for a weekend golf outing, the girls are terrified and elated at the prospect of a dinner with old beau Maurice. The champagne flows and tempers flare with hilarious results!
Directed by Doug Tennant, the cast also includes Cynthia Gribble, Stephon Harris, Brad Vincent, and Benjamin Seeley. Performances are June 19, 20, 26, and 27th at 8:00 pm at the Kathleen Howland Theatre at 2nd April Galerie, 324 Cleveland Ave NW, Canton, Ohio. Call 330-451-0924 for tickets or purchase online at secondapril.org. For fans of sophisticated British humor, this one is a Must See!!
