The Christmas Express

A Holiday comedy by Pat Cook for the whole family

Performance dates: December 6,7,8,13,14,15,20,21

 

The Christmas Express is a slice of small-town Americana, taking place in a dilapidated railroad station.  The cast requirements are 6 women and 4 men. The breakdown:

WOMEN

Hilda – station master, 40s-50s

Maggie – mail carrier, 20s-50s

Penelope – editor, reporter for town newspaper, 30s-50s

Myrna – town mayor/church choir director, 40s-60s

Donna – Jerry’s wife, 20’-30s

Debora – Fairfax’s daughter, 30s-50s

 

MEN

Satch – Hilda’s assistant, 50s-60s

Leo Tannenbaum – a visitor, 60s-70s

Fairfax – railroad exec./Debora’s father, 60s-70s

Jerry – Donna’ husband, 20s-30s

Hilda, Satch, Maggie, Penelope & Myrna are required to sing A Cappella

 

ALL AGES ARE FLEXIBLE

This nostalgic story is full of eccentric small-town characters who begin to discover the true wonder of Christmas, making us all wish that we, too, could take a ride on The Christmas Express.

 

Auditions will be cold readings from the script.  No appointment is necessary. Once again:
